Utility worker shot multiple times at Montgomery County home

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a shooting at a home in the Magnolia area.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies were dispatched to a home in the 19000 block of Rustic Lane at 1:19 p.m. Tuesday.

Authorities say there was some sort of disturbance between the homeowner and an utility worker that escalated.

The sheriff’s office says the homeowner ended up shooting the utility worker multiple times.

There is no word on the condition of the utility worker.

Investigators say the worker was installing fiber lines.

There are still a lot of questions, but we do know the homeowner was taken into custody and will be charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
