1 killed in Wharton County crash involving train, commercial vehicle

A fatal collision between a train and a commercial motor vehicle has shut down part of a rural roadway in Wharton County , according to Texas DPS.
The collision happened on County Road 315, just south of Hillje Road.
Authorities confirmed that at least one person has died as a result of the crash.
The roadway remains partially closed as investigators work to determine the cause of the accident. Drivers are urged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
