Deputies were called to a home around 9:30 p.m. on Cool Spring Drive near W Gulf Bank Road. That’s where investigators said they found a woman, later identified as 43-year-old Alicia Jacobo, with a gunshot wound.
Emergency crews pronounced her dead at the scene, and her 27-year-old son, Raul Jacobo, was detained by officers. He was later put in handcuffs after his grandparents indicated to investigators that he shot their daughter, but it’s unclear what led up to her murder.
Raul Jacobo was booked into Harris County Jail. Authorities have not released the specifics of his charges, but they said he will be charged in connection with the shooting death of his mother.
