Man shot, killed following altercation in parking lot of west Houston hotel

A man was shot and killed following an altercation with another man outside of a hotel in Houston’s westside.

Houston Police Department officers were alerted to the shooting just after 5:20 p.m.

It took place in the parking lot of a hotel located in the 14800 block of the Katy Freeway.

After the two men got in a fight in the parking lot, one of the men shot the other. He then fled the scene on foot.

Sugar Land police said the suspect later turned himself in

Officers have not released the identity of the victim or the suspected shooter at this time.
