HOUSTON – An ex-CEO of Continental Airlines is being sued following a trip to Mexico where a woman “inexplicably passed away” after visiting a dermatology clinic in March, according to a lawsuit.
Jessica Rossman and her colleague, Gordon Bethune, both residents in Houston, went on a trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, the lawsuit states.

On March 31, Rossman visited a dermatology clinic for a standard procedure. Afterward, she died under unclear circumstances.
Bethune is accused of “abandoning her body” when he flew back to the United States following her death.
Days later, without her family’s approval, Bethune allegedly returned to Puerto Vallarta and took control of her body with the intention of having her cremated, according to the lawsuit.
According to Rossman’s obituary, Bethune is described as her “partner and the love of her life.”
Rossman’s family filed a lawsuit against Bethune and obtained a restraining order to prevent him from proceeding with the cremation.
Rossman’s brother, Lucho Rossman, stated that he suspects foul play in his sister’s death, describing her as “a healthy 56-year-old woman” who died during a standard dermatology procedure.
A judge granted the family a temporary restraining order and issued temporary and permanent injunctions prohibiting Bethune, his agents, and assistants from possessing, controlling, or moving Rossman’s body.
KPRC 2 asked FBI Houston if they have any involvement in the death investigation, but we were told the matter is under the jurisdiction of Mexican authorities.
