Houston man charged with murder and aggravated assault in separate incidents

A man is facing multiple charges, including one related to the death of another man. David Michael Villarreal, 31, was arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of 34-year-old Jose Segoiva Arvizu on April 15.
Authorities say Arvizu was found with gunshot wounds outside a vehicle in the 8900 block of Sweetwater Lane in north Houston and later died from his injuries on April 19.
Villarreal is also facing charges for a separate incident the day before, on April 14, where he allegedly fired a weapon at 415 W. Mierianne Street, which is a block away from the initial shooting.
Luckily, no one was hurt in that case. Villarreal is now in custody, awaiting trial for both incidents.
