Man fatally shot during possible domestic dispute in Cypress

A 30-year-old man was shot and killed early Monday morning in what deputies believe was a domestic-related incident in the Stablewood Farms subdivision in Cypress.

Heavy police presence was reported in the 16000 block of Dehay Lane following the shooting. Deputies with Harris Co. Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a call around 4:01 a.m. that initially came in as a fight.

When they arrived, they found the man with a gunshot wound, and EMS crews pronounced him deceased at the scene.

Three people have been detained, including the suspected shooter. Preliminary information suggests the victim may have been armed with a knife when the shooting happened, but authorities have not confirmed if the victim or the suspect lived at the home where the incident unfolded.

Residents are urged to avoid the area as law enforcement works to process the scene. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
