Man facing child porn charges has license suspended by Texas Medical Board

SUGAR LAND, Texas – A man’s medical license was temporarily suspended after he was arrested for child porn charges in Fort Bend County.

According to the Texas Medical Board, David Jacob Bettsack, 48, a medical radiologic technologist with Sugar Land MRT was arrested back in February and charged with two counts of Possession of Child Pornography.

On April 17th, a disciplinary panel of the Texas Board of Radiologic Technology temporarily suspended Bettsack’s license “without notice.”

The medical board also in a news release stating that the temporary suspension hearing with notice will be held as soon as practicable, “with 10 days’ notice...unless the hearing is specifically waived by Mr. Bettsack.”

Bettsack was held on a $100,000 bond, which he has since posted, and is expected to appear before a judge on Monday, April 28.
