Man found shot to death inside car at SE Houston apartment complex

Houston police are searching for a suspect after a man was found shot to death inside a car late Sunday night at a southeast Houston apartment complex.

Officers from the Houston Police Department’s Clear Lake Division responded to reports of a shooting at the 9400 block of Clearwood, around 11:08 p.m.

Upon arrival, they found a man in his mid-30s dead inside the vehicle.

Investigators believe a second person was inside the car at the time of the shooting but fled into the apartment complex immediately after. K-9 units were deployed to search for the suspect, described only as a man wearing a black hoodie and black pants.

Authorities say initial evidence suggests the shooter was inside the vehicle when the incident happened, but it remains unclear if the car was in motion or parked at the time.
