Missouri City 15-year-old whose disappearance prompted Amber Alert found safe

MISSOURI CITY, Texas – EDITOR’S NOTE: Because the teenager has been found safe and is a minor, we have removed her name and image from the story.
A 15-year-old girl who went missing on Monday has been found safe.
An Amber Alert was issued for the teenager after she left Elkins High School Monday and got into the back of a silver SUV.
On Thursday, Missouri City Police say the teenager walked into a Child Protective Services building in Rosenberg. Rosenberg Police responded and confirmed the teenager was the missing 15-year-old.
The investigation into the person(s) responsible for her disappearance and harboring is still active.
