How to protect your pipes from bursting using household items In need of a last-minute solution on how to insulate your pipes from freezing temperatures? This article is for you!
As we brace for this weekend’s arctic blast, we want to make sure you know how to protect your pipes from the freezing temperatures.
If you’re scrambling to find a quick solution to insulating your pipes, all you need are three household items: a thick towel, duct tape, and a plastic bag.
“Just to prevent water from getting on the towel and the towel freezing,” said the President and Owner of Bodensteiner Service Inc, Blair Bodensteiner.
When the water inside of a pipe freezes, it expands, creating pressure that can cause the pipe to spurt open.
KPRC 2 Anchor, Dani Guzman, met with Bodensteiner to show us how to properly preserve your plumbing system using three simple household items.
