NW Houston man killed after being struck by 2 vehicles; driver flees scene

Authorities are investigating a fatal hit-and-run involving a man who was hit by two separate vehicles in northwest Houston.
The man was walking near 14700 Hempstead Road near the Jersey Village area, when he was hit by a car. The driver stopped to render aid, at which point a second vehicle—a white truck—also ran over the man. This driver fled the scene.
Hempstead Road has been closed in both directions as investigators process the scene.
