School supply drive aims to rebuild Walt Disney Elementary, support students

With the roof of Walt Disney Elementary destroyed and classrooms in disarray, Mayor Kevin Cole is calling on the community to donate supplies and funds to aid in the recovery process.

On Dec. 28 a tornado with winds reaching up to 125 mph swept through Brazoria County , causing severe damage to Walt Disney Elementary School in Alvin ISD .
Mayor Kevin Cole, in collaboration with the Alvin ISD Education Foundation, has organized a supply drive to aid in the school’s recovery. The event will take place at Pearland City Hall, located at 3519 Liberty Drive, on Jan. 3 and Jan. 4, from 9 a.m. to noon.
Mayor Kevin Cole has shared a detailed list of requested school supplies to help restock classrooms and support the recovery efforts for Walt Disney Elementary:
