1 person killed in crash involving METRO bus on Westpark Tollway

HOUSTON – One person is dead after a crash involving a METRO bus on the Westpark Tollway Thursday morning.
The crash happened just before 6 a.m. when the Harris County Toll Road Authority (HCTRA) said a “passenger vehicle” hit a METRO bus while on the Westpark Tollway in the westbound lanes near Westheimer Place Dr.

The identity of the person killed in the crash has not been released, and details regarding what caused the crash have also not been released.
Westpark Tollway’s westbound lanes were briefly shut down while authorities investigated the deadly crash, but at 7:45 a.m., all lanes were reopened.
