On Tuesday, Robertson County released an order prohibiting outdoor burning, which will not allow students to ignite the wooden structure this weekend or anytime in the immediate future.

The ban is due to a drought in the area.

In response, the off-campus organization provided an update on its Instagram page.

In the update, the organization said it respected the county’s decision.

Even though the stack will not be lit, the site will still be open to the public for viewing on Friday, Nov. 29 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The stack is located at Old Hearne Rd. in Bryan.

“Tonight we will put the last logs on Stack and the 2024 season will be complete. When it is safe to burn and welcome as many Aggies to site as possible, we will clear the field as we begin work on Bonfire 2025,” the Instagram post read.
