Co-worker finds woman shot to death inside southwest Houston liquor store

HOUSTON, Texas – Houston police are investigating after a woman was shot to death while working inside a liquor store in southwest Houston.

Officers with the Houston Police Department responded to reports of a shooting at the Ralston Discount Liquor store on South Post Oak Road between Trafalgar Drive and Grapevine Street around 12:45 p.m.

Investigators did not release the woman’s identity but said she was shot multiple times. They also said she was found by another employee.

“Absolutely a sad day for family and friends of the victim, for this community; any type of violence like this is always an atrocity,” said HPD officer Robyn Barcak.

Investigators are reviewing camera footage and other evidence in search of the shooter.
