Anonymous viewer who donated $1,000 to homeless couple receives $2,000 after update aired
NEW CANEY, Texas – You may remember the New Caney couple that became homeless after the Texas storms in May, and they were waiting on FEMA money.
We did a story with a Good Samaritan who gave that couple $1,000.
Now, another Good Samaritan saw that story, and they wanted to repay the donor.
“What a kind giving person who selflessly gave that couple money,” said the man who wanted to remain anonymous and repay the original donor. “My thought was, why don’t we try to pay it forward? So, what I have for you to give to her is $2,000. Double what she gave, and she can do whatever she wants with that.”
The original donor was very grateful.
“God is good,” she said. “It was seed money. You know seed money to grow a blessing, so she got blessed, now I’m getting blessed.”
