Cypress mom allegedly left 2-year-old unattended to go to a bar, court documents reveal

CYPRESS, Texas – A Cypress mother has been charged with abandoning her child after allegedly leaving her 2-year-old home alone to visit a wine bar.
Ashley Ann Dixon allegedly left her 2-year-old without adult supervision for over two hours while she went to a nearby wine bar.

According to court documents, Dixon left the child at home with the intent to return but did not take steps to voluntarily deliver the child to a designated emergency infant care provider, as outlined in the Texas Family Code.
Dixon has posted bond, set at $15,000, and is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday for a bond review.
