Houston man murders girlfriend in parking lot, turns himself in at nearby police station

A man has turned himself into police custody after murdering his girlfriend in a parking lot.

The crime occurred near 11077 NW Fwy in Northwestern Houston, in a parking lot near a Denny’s restaurant and an Academy Sports and Outdoors store. It was first reported at around 3:15 p.m. as a standard welfare check.

After the act, the man walked to a nearby police station and surrendered himself to authorities.

Police have not released the manner in which the woman was killed.
