Spring couple in their 70s hospitalized after mobile home catches fire

SPRING, Texas – An elderly couple in Spring was hospitalized Thursday morning after their mobile home caught fire.

According to the Spring Fire Department, it happened on Treaschwig near Birnam Wood in north Harris County. It’s unclear how the fire started, but the home was fully engulfed in flames.

The couple has not been identified, but have been described as a man and woman both in their 70s. The woman suffered burn injuries and smoke inhalation, while the man only suffered smoke inhalation, firefighters said.

The fire has since been extinguished but the Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office arrived at the scene to conduct an investigation.
