Jocelyn Nungaray to be laid to rest Thursday in north Houston, public invited to attend service

HOUSTON – It’s been a grueling week for Jocelyn Nungaray ’s family after the 12-year-old was found dead in a north Houston creek last Monday.
Through an outpour of support, however, Jocelyn’s killers, Johan Jose Martinez-Rangel, 22, and Franklin Pena, 26, were put behind bars and charged with capital murder.
Funeral services for Jocelyn will be held on Thursday, June 27 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Earthman Resthaven Cemetary on North Freeway. After the service, a celebration of life will be held at Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale ’s Gallery Furniture, located on North Freeway.
Mattress Mack also announced he would be covering Jocelyn’s funeral expenses.
