Lake Jackson Enterprise Rent-A-Car employee found dead in shopping center; police investigating as homicide

LAKE JACKSON, Texas – Police in Lake Jackson are investigating after an Enterprise Rent-A-Car employee was found dead in a shopping center.

It happened around 6 a.m. Monday in a shopping center in the 145 block of Oyster Creek Drive.

Police responded to a call of a man sleeping in front of a business. When they arrived, they found a man dead on the sidewalk.

Police said the man had injuries, which are believed to be the cause of his death, and the case is being investigated as a homicide.

Enterprise Mobility released a statement confirming the man was an employee:

“We are deeply saddened by this senseless act of violence in our community. We are heartbroken this tragic event resulted in the loss of a team member’s life and mourn with our team and the family. We are actively cooperating with local law enforcement in their investigation,” the statement read.
