Teen struck, killed by vehicle after not using crosswalk in SW Houston

A 16-year-old girl was struck and killed by a vehicle in southwest Houston overnight.
The incident happened near the intersection of Bellaire Boulevard and South Gessner around 10:40 p.m.

According to investigators, the teen was crossing Bellaire Boulevard outside of a crosswalk when she was hit. The driver stopped to render aid after the collision.
Authorities have not yet determined if any charges will be filed against the driver.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
