HOUSTON – Authorities are piecing together what led up to a man’s death overnight Friday in west Harris County after he was found shot several times behind a hotel.
It happened a little before 12:45 a.m. when deputies with the Harris Co. Sheriff’s Office said they received a call about a shooting on Rancho Mission Dr. off Hwy 6 near Westpark Tollway.
Responding officers said they were able to review the hotel’s security footage, where they found a man, described only as an unidentified victim, drinking with another man and a woman by the dumpster. At some point, investigators say the man pulled out a gun and shot the victim before taking off with the woman in a black sedan.
It’s unclear what led up to the incident and as of this writing, the man and woman are both at large. No additional information has been shared either, but deputies are still investigating.
