Houston police say a call came in around 12:45 a.m. at a gas station in the 8500 block of Gulf Freeway and Monroe. That’s where authorities say they found an unidentified man’s body with at least one gunshot wound.
Initial details show that the victim was working at the gas station when three other men arrived, one of whom pretended to be a customer.
Seconds later, the man posing as a customer returned, along with the two other men, and opened fire.

Police say the clerk may have suspected the three men were up to something because he was armed, but it’s unclear if he returned fire.
The shooters got back into their car and fled the scene.
At this tie, it’s unclear if anything was stolen from the store but an investigation remains underway.
