Man shot, killed by 2 Conroe police officers while attempting to assault woman inside home

CONROE, Texas – A man was shot and killed by two officers from the Conroe Police Department while reportedly trying to sexually assault a woman inside a home Monday night.

Police officers said they were called to a home in the 14710 block of Callard Court for an assault at around midnight.

When they arrived, they say they could hear a woman inside the home screaming.

Officers went inside the home and said they found a man holding a woman in a headlock, armed with a gun. They said the man was trying to sexually assault the woman in front of them in a bedroom.

The woman managed to break free but police said the man would not drop his gun.

At some point officers say the man pointed his weapon at them which caused them to opened fire, ultimately killed the man.

This was the second officer involved shooting in Montgomery County on Monday.
