Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run crash in north Houston

A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Interstate 45 in north Houston on Saturday, the Houston Police Department said. (KPRC)

HOUSTON – A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Interstate 45 in north Houston on Sunday, the Houston Police Department said.

Officers were called to I-45 near Parker Road at about 4:35 a.m. regarding a crash.

A man was hit by a vehicle on the highway, and he died.

The vehicle did not stop, and police are now looking for the driver.

Authorities are also trying to learn why the man was on the highway.

According to Houston Transtar, all northbound lanes of the highway before Parker Road have been reopened. The highway was partially closed following the crash.

This case is still under investigation.
