HOUSTON – KPRC 2 is thrilled to welcome meteorologist Brittany Begley to the KPRC 2 Storm Tracker team.

As part of our ongoing commitment to deliver essential weather coverage to the Houston area on all platforms, Brittany brings a wealth of experience and a passion for ensuring our community’s safety and preparedness.

With more than a decade of experience in both weather forecasting and news anchoring, Brittany is the perfect addition to Houston’s largest and most experienced weather team. She joins Chief Meteorologist Frank Billingsley, KPRC 2 News Today’s Anthony Yanez, and meteorologists Caroline Brown, Daji Aswad, and Justin Stapleton. You can expect to see her on KPRC 2 mid-March as our new weekend morning meteorologist.

Brittany is a versatile professional dedicated to serving the needs of our community. During the pandemic, Brittany distinguished herself as a compassionate advocate for hard-working Californians, assisting them in accessing essential benefits. Her dedication to public safety extends beyond weather forecasting, as evidenced by her role in educating and protecting motorists on the roadways. Brittany’s meteorological expertise is further underscored by her certification from Mississippi State University.

Notably, Brittany has shared her insights as a guest speaker for prominent organizations such as Google/Waze in New York City and the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) in Las Vegas. Her passion for safeguarding lives and her innovative approach to weather storytelling have earned her recognition as a dynamic force in the field.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Brittany is a mom and deeply committed to promoting health and wellness. Through her studies and collaborations with leading healthcare professionals, she empowers her social media community to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and vitality.

About Brittany

  • Where are you from? I actually grew up all across the United States - Dayton, Ohio, Palm Beach, Florida and Las Vegas, Nevada. I most recently worked in San Francisco and Sacramento, California.
  • Where did you go to school? I most recently went to Mississippi State for my meteorology certification.
  • What’s one food you can’t live without? Eating is my hobby and that’s one of the many reasons I’m excited to live in Houston! I can’t live without homemade guacamole and chips.
  • Favorite hobbies? I’m truly passionate about mental health and healthy relationships. I’ve had the opportunity to work with some incredible doctors during my career and I love to create content around these topics in my free time.
  • What do you love most about living in Houston? I love people. I believe life is about creating authentic connections and that comes from being around high-value people. I’m truly excited to meet and connect with all the amazing people in Houston.
  • What attracted you to the news biz? I love helping people and I live a service-based life. It’s the true secret to happiness and fulfillment. Having the opportunity to serve my person and my community is why I’m passionate about my job. It’s a privilege to serve.
