1 dead, 1 injured after suspects shoot at SUV in SW Houston

One man died and a second man was injured after suspects shot at their SUV in southwest Houston on Saturday, the Houston Police Department said. (KPRC)

HOUSTON – One man died and a second man was injured after suspects shot at their SUV in southwest Houston on Saturday, the Houston Police Department said.

The incident happened in the 8900 block of Bellflower Street around 3:24 a.m.

A man was trying to get away from several suspects, and they fired several shots at his vehicle.

The man then crashed his SUV into a gate in the area and drove for a few minutes to a gas station near Fondren Road and Westpark Drive.

Police also made it to the scene.

One man inside the vehicle died from his injuries, and a passenger was also shot at least one time.

He was taken to a local hospital.

Officers are still investigating the shooting.

They are looking for the suspects and trying to find surveillance video.
