Disaster organizations still helping residents recovering from flooding in Montgomery County

The American Red Cross and Salvation Army will be handing out food on Monday to those who were affected by the severe weather that moved through Southeast Texas last week.

These organizations will open a point of distribution site from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 451 River Plantation Drive in Conroe, Texas. The American Red Cross will also provide helpful information to residents.

Last week, we saw flooding in Montgomery, San Jacinto, and Polk Counties. Several people were also rescued from flooded areas.

San Jacinto and Montgomery Counties issued disaster declarations due to the severe storms. The rain caused dangerous conditions for residents, and some people are still trying to recover from the situation.
