United Airlines issued full ground stop for departures out of Bush Airport Monday due to weather

HOUSTON – United Airlines had issued a full ground stop at Bush Airport on Monday morning due to the winter weather sweeping across the Houston area.

According to information from the National Airspace System, all departures expected to leave George Bush Intercontinental Airport were temporarily grounded.

“Winter weather has caused delays at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH). Our operations team continues to monitor weather developments across the country and adjust our schedule accordingly.

We know our customers are eager to get to their destinations. Customers may visit united.com to check their flight status and view the latest information. Additionally, we currently have waivers in place for customers traveling to, from or through impacted cities in the region.

We encourage travelers to download our mobile app and use our Agent on Demand tool, which enables them to bypass a line to speak with agents and get assistance via text, FaceTime or phone call.”
