US 59 lanes reopen after oil spill caused by truck at Spur 527

A tanker truck spilled oil on U.S. 59 on Saturday, and it has led to three lanes being closed on the highway. (Houston Transtar)

HOUSTON – Three lanes on US 59 have reopened after a truck spilled oil on the highway on Saturday.

Police were dispatched to the scene around 6 a.m. due to the spill on U.S. 59 at Spur 527.

The left interchange ramp and right interchange ramp are still closed.

Drivers should find alternate routes.
