Houston ISD announces partnership with TSU to train aspiring teachers

HOUSTON – The Houston Independent School District and Texas Southern University announced a partnership to train aspiring teachers.

Through the partnership, the district said students in TSU’s College of Education will earn their teacher certification and get paid while serving as a Teacher Apprentice in HISD’s New Education System (NES) or NES-aligned schools.
