Upon arrival, authorities said the suspect, identified as 34-year-old Vincent Chaney, was “belligerent, aggressive, and refusing to cooperate.”

Due to Chaney’s aggressive behavior, constable deputies said they attempted to detain him for officer safety but he spit at a deputy constable’s face and then kicked another in the face. After a brief struggle, Herman said the suspect was placed in custody.

Chaney was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail and charged with assault of a peace officer and harassment of a public servant. His bond was set at $25,000.
