Florida couple wanted on 10 outstanding warrants, including burglary, arrested in Montgomery County, deputies say

WILLIS, Texas – One Florida couple is behind bars after it was discovered they were wanted on several outstanding warrants during a traffic stop in Montgomery County, according to deputies with the Precinct 1 Constable’s Office.

On Sunday, a deputy stopped a white Ford Expedition on Interstate 45 near Farm to Market Road 830 for a speeding traffic violation.

During the traffic stop, the deputy learned that the driver, identified as Cara Miller House, of Florida, was wanted out of the state for numerous felony warrants, deputies said. The warrant included theft of over $100,000, theft of $10 to $20,000, burglary and possession of burglary tools. House was handcuffed and placed into the deputy’s patrol vehicle.

As the deputy continued to investigate the passenger, identified as Pavel Koryavykh, Miller managed to slip out of her handcuffs and escape out of the patrol vehicle, according to deputies. Miller reportedly charged at the deputy in an attempt to escape but a Pct. 1 sergeant arrived at the location and helped get Miller on her back and into restraints.

Sometime during the struggle, Koryavykh got into the Ford’s driver seat and fled from the scene, according to deputies.

Miller was taken to the Montgomery County Jail where she was additionally charged with escape from custody.

During the search for Koryavykh, it was learned that he was also wanted for numerous felony warrants, including theft over $100,000, burglary, grand theft, and possession of burglary tools.

On Tuesday, Precinct 1 deputies and crime analysist, along with agents from numerous, local, state, and federal agencies were able to locate Koryavykh, who was staying in a motel in northeast Houston, according to Montgomery County Pct. 1 deputies.

Koryavykh was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Montgomery County Jail where he was charged with evading arrest with a motor vehicle along with his felony warrants.
