2 women shot in southeast Houston during argument with neighbors, police say

Two women were reportedly shot Wednesday during an argument with neighbors in southeast Houston, according to the Houston Police Department. (KPRC 2)

HOUSTON – Two women were reportedly shot Wednesday during an argument with neighbors in southeast Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.

The shooting was reported at 9 p.m. in the 5800 block of Thrush Drive.

Responding HPD officers said they found the two women suffering from gunshot wounds. They were taken to an area hospital in stable condition.

Police believe the shooting started as a neighbor dispute that turned into an altercation. At some point, police said someone pulled out a handgun, and shots were fired.

A person was detained at the scene. Investigators obtained surveillance video of the incident to determine exactly what happened.

HPD Major Assaults Unit has taken over the investigation. No charges are pending.
