Procession held for Pct. 5 Corporal Charles Galloway (KPRC)

HOUSTON – A procession was held for Harris County Pct. 5 Corporal Charles Galloway Friday morning.

Galloway, who served with Precinct 5 for 20 years, was shot and killed during a traffic stop early Sunday morning. The suspect, Oscar Rosales, is now in custody and faces capital murder charges.

The procession route started at the Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office, then south on Highway 288. The route then traveled towards Beltway 8/West Sam Houston Tollway northbound -- where he once patrolled -- and ended at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home on Katy Freeway.

Galloway’s funeral service will be held at Second Baptist Church - West Campus on Tuesday. The funeral will be open to the public.
