Man dead after being stabbed in the neck by girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend in Fourth Ward, police say

HOUSTON – A man is dead after he was stabbed in the neck by his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend in Fourth Ward, police said.

It happened in the 900 block of Skyline Vista around 9:30 p.m. Thursday.

According to officers, a woman said her ex-boyfriend came over to gather his belongings when her new boyfriend, George Wendell Jackson, Jr., 32, arrived at the location. The ex-boyfriend grabbed a knife and stabbed Jackson in the neck, police said.

Investigators said a neighbor grabbed the victim and transported him to an area hospital, where he died.

Officers said the suspect fled the scene on foot and remains on the loose.
