Woman who was out on multiple felony bonds, charged in deadly shooting

HOUSTON – A woman has been arrested and charged in connection to a deadly shooting on July 10, Houston police confirmed.

Tiffany Michelle Peteet, 33, has been charged with murder and tampering with evidence. She was taken into custody on Tuesday, Aug. 31.

Around 9 a.m., Houston police responded to an alarm at 322 San Julio Drive. Police said when they were unable to reach anyone inside, they called the homeowner’s daughter who came and unlocked the door.

During the welfare check, police said they found a woman, later identified as 57-year-old Donna Abshire, shot to death.

After an investigation, police said Peteet was identified as a suspect in the case.

According to police, Peteet was out on multiple felony bonds, including felony theft, theft of a firearm and felony criminal mischief, at the time of the incident.
