16-year-old charged in connection with deadly shooting in SE Houston last week

HOUSTON – A 16-year-old has been arrested and charged in connection with a deadly shooting that occurred last week.

On April 19, Houston police responded to reports of a shooting in the 3800 block of Goodhope Street. Police said they found 33-year-old Wayne Anthony Steele in a vacant lot with multiple gunshot wounds.

After a brief investigation, the teenager was arrested and charged with the murder of Steele.

Police said two other males may have also been involved in the shooting. Investigators are working to identify them.
