5 men arrested, accused of damaging 20 vehicles with BB guns

HOUSTON – Five men are accused of going on a BB gun shooting spree that damaged 20 vehicles across North Harris County.

Harris County Constable Pct. 4 deputies said they were called to the 6900 block of Foxbrook Drive around 1 a.m. Tuesday after reports of shattered car windows.

Nearby, deputies spotted a parked car with five men inside: Roland Lewis, 18; Aaron Remo, 19; Clarence Williams, 20; Khalil Thomas, 19; and Lonnie Stramble, 20.

"As soon as officers surrounded the vehicle, the two in the front (Thomas and Stramble) bailed out of the vehicle and took off running," Capt. Wally Wieghat said.

Thomas was chased down by deputies but Stramble ran into a home on the 20300 block of Percheron Trail.  Inside the home were three men now charged with hindering apprehension.  Deputies said Stephen Lackey, 21; Christian Dickey, 17; Davonte Edwards, 20 were aggressive in trying to hide Stramble.

"The three males who were inside the house came out and started cursing the officers and giving them a hard time," Wieghat said. "The officers asked them to step out to the patrol vehicle.  One of them shoved the officers."

Stramble was eventually found inside the home and arrested.  He and the four other suspected BB gun shooters are now charged with felony criminal mischief.

Deputies say the damage to the vehicles is more than $7,000.  And there still could be more victims, according to Wieghat.

"It's terrible," said Rehan Pathan whose father's truck was damaged. "Why would you do that?  I just don't understand.  What would you gain out of this?  You're just hurting other people, financially and mentally."
