One person injured when firetruck collides with METRORail

HOUSTON – Investigators are working determine how a Houston Fire Department unit hit a METRORail train earlier this evening north of downtown Houston.

Captain Raul Reyes with HFD tells us Engine 9 was on a call with lights and siren activated when it happened around 6:50 p.m. at Hogan Street and North Main St.

He adds that no firefighters were injured in the crash.

According to METRO, one passenger was transported to a hospital and is expected to be okay. No other injuries were reported.

The Houston Police Department is leading the investigation.
