Men found dead in Almeda home ID'd; deaths ruled double homicide

HOUSTON – Police said Tuesday they are investigating the deaths of two men in Almeda.

The shooting was reported about 11 a.m. at a home in the 13000 block of Ridgewood Knoll Lane.

Houston police said family members went to the home to check on the men after they hadn't been heard from since Sunday.

One of the men was identified by police as 27-year-old Demarkris Jones. The second victim was identified Friday as 25-year-old Darrell Minifee.

Investigators said the victims appear to have been roommates and were renting the home. According to police, the deaths were ruled as a double homicide, and no weapons were found in the home.

Police said there was no sign of struggle or forced entry. Investigators said nothing from the home has been stolen.
