Woman beaten, shot to death at home in SW Houston, police say

HOUSTON – A 47-year-old woman was beaten and shot to death Monday in southwest Houston, according to police.

Police said the woman was shot multiple times at a residence in the 13600 block of Deanmont Drive.

She was found around 1 p.m., police said.

Houston police said they are searching for a person of interest. Police have not identified the person of interest, but did say they do not believe the public is in any danger.

Police said they have responded to disturbances at the residence multiple times in the past.
