Man ejected, woman in critical condition after rollover crash in northwest Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A man was thrown out of a vehicle and a woman is in critical condition after a rollover crash in northwest Harris County. 

According to police, around 2:20 a.m. they got a call requesting LifeFlight after a car heading westbound on FM 1960 near Bobcat Road rolled five times before hitting a pole, ejecting the male passenger and trapping the female inside.

When first responders arrived, the woman was able to tell them the man had been ejected into the nearby woods, police said. 

According to authorities, the woman had to be cut out of the vehicle and LifeFlighted to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. 

The man was taken to the hospital via ambulance with non-life threatening injuries, police said. 

Deputies said speed was a factor and they are investigating the possibility of DWI. 

According to authorities, both east and westbound lanes are expected to be closed for several hours as they clean up the road and repair the downed power pole.
