Woman shot by boyfriend several times at Alief apartment complex

HOUSTON – Houston police responded to an Alief apartment complex after they say a woman was shot by her boyfriend.

The shooting happened in the 10600 block of Beechnut Street.

Police say the two had been in an argument when the man shot the woman several times. He then fled the scene.

The victim later told KPRC 2 that there was no argument and she was unaware of his reasonings for shooting her. She said she left the home to go to Walgreens and when she returned to bed, he shot her several times.

The woman was taken to a hospital and recovering, according to Lt. Larry Crowson.

Police say they know the suspect’s identity and are looking for him at this time.
