Teens claim man forced them to sexually assault each other, then assaulted teen girl along trail

HOUSTON – Two teenagers claim a man forced them at gunpoint to sexually assault each other and then raped one of them near a popular walking trail Saturday morning.

Police said the teens were eating while inside their vehicle, which as parked at Northline Park around 2:50 a.m. Police said the teens were approached by a man with a gun who forced his way into the vehicle.

The man made the teens get in the back seat of their car and drove them to the 1900 block of White Oak, officials said. In a wooded area, between the Bayou and White Oak Drive, he forced the teens at gunpoint to have sexual relations with each other, officials said.

The man then sexually assaulted the female teen, officials said.

The victims were able to find their way to a nearby apartment complex, where they called police.

"I’m sure they don’t want you in here after 12 o’clock at night. Anybody that would come up here and eat after 2 o'clock in the morning you may be asking for trouble because there’s a lot of crazy people in the neighborhood now," Gary Harvill, who lives near the park, said.

Police said the girl was taken to a hospital for evaluation.

"It is a little scary because it’s so close to home ... . It’s a reminder to be safe," another resident, who didn't want to be identified, said. "I hope everybody that was involved in the incident is healthy and gets well and my heart goes out to them."

The suspect is described as a white man with a medium build with blond hair.

The juvenile sex crimes unit is investigating the incident.
