Morton Ranch Elementary closed due to power outage

KATY, Texas – Morton Ranch Elementary School in Katy was closed Monday due to a power outage.

Officials at the Katy Independent School District said in a Facebook post that Sunday’s storms damaged a power pole that feeds electricity to the school.

Power is expected to be restored later Monday, officials said.
