The confrontation was reported to College Station police just before 2:30 a.m. and they arrived shortly thereafter, police said. When they got to the apartments, they spotted the suspect vehicle leaving the scene and later conducted a traffic stop where Henderson, a passenger, and 24-year-old Terry Lechler Florez Jr., the driver, were detained.

Police learned that Henderson was the individual pointing the rifle at one of the victims and threatened two others, police said.

The rifle had been discarded by Henderson in a wooded area in an attempt to hide the rifle, police said. Officers were able to retrieve the firearm, which matched the description given by the victims, police said.

Henderson was charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, one count of tampering with evidence, and one count of possession of marijuana less than two ounces, police said.
