Motorcyclist not wearing helmet crashes in roadway, police say

HOUSTON – A motorcyclist died in a crash Sunday in southeast Houston, police said.

The motorcyclist lost control on Navigation Boulevard near North York around 1 a.m. He was thrown from the bike and slid down the road about 150 yards, police said. 

The biker was not wearing a helmet, police said. Witnesses said he had been drinking that evening. 

No other vehicles were involved.
